Sue Fulford has worked in private practice on the Gold Coast for more than 10 years having relocated from the Brisbane area; predominantly working with adults with a variety of mental health concerns. Sue has worked in a variety of sectors including high secure custody and community corrections before moving into Queensland Health and heading up the first Renal psychology clinic at the former Gold Coast public hospital.
Sue currently works as a senior psychologist in community mental health on the Gold Coast as well as part-time in private practice. She has completed several components of nutrition and health and is currently in the pursuit of completing personal trainer qualifications. Due to the range of settings that she has worked in coupled with her extensive professional development, it has resulted in the enhancement of her skills within the holistic treatment of adults with mental health issues.
Sue comes from a holistic wellbeing approach, assisting patients to achieve holistic wellbeing and psychological resilience. Sue is registered with most large private health funds and DVA and can provide care under GP MHCP’s with reduced gap fees for individuals on Centrelink or suffering financial distress upon request.
She has vast experience in:
Mood disorder- including depression and anxiety
Stress related disorders- including PTSD
Trauma related concerns
Substance disorders and dependencies
Criminogenic identification and addressing
Parenting skill training (qualified 1-2-3 trainer)
Primary psychotic disorders (including education and CBT for psychosis)
Vija Nemcovs has been working in the field of Mental Health since 2000. Originally from Melbourne Victoria, Vee started her career in Forensic Mental Health. Moving to the Gold Coast Qld in 2003, Vee continues working for QLD Health in Mental Health.
Initially Vee spent a number of years in the acute adult in-patient sector before making the move into the community. Vee continues to work as a Clinical Nurse Consultant, supporting adults in case management using the recovery model.
Over the past 20 years Vee has expanded her knowledge to include a variety of clinical and holistic practices and acknowledges that mental Health encompasses a holistic approach to recovery and ongoing life balance.
