The Noledge House presents Man/Reset. This is a new way to look at fitness challenges you might have seen on your socials.
This is not a 28- day challenge!
This is not a free trial app!
This is not a PT looking for clients!
Man/Reset has been developed because we see a gap in men's wellbeing!
It is a culture of mateship and accountable actions and an opportunity to support a mental health charity. Man/RESET aims to give older men mateship, a team to perform in, fitness and wellness, without the sales pitch, short-term individual challenges, or false hope of sustaining a solo commitment to better well-being.
Man/Reset will be a league of teams with 6 members in each team that train together to compete in events (annual national events such as Tuff Mudder, Masters Games, etc) and each team will accumulate points towards a Man/Reset premiership title.
It is most likely that males 40+ years old played team sports growing up. As they got older, playing sports went south and for many, coaching their kids became the next step, until it all stops. This generation of men goes through the afterlife of sport knowing they loved being with mates and they loved playing sports but, they got older! The team they were in is now a team of one! However, one thing never changed, it is their understanding of the benefits of sport and exercise and that back-of-mind yearning to remain fit. We want to have our 50-year-old brain, in our 25-year-old body! So, in later years, sporadically, this age group of males attempt to get back what they had. The major difference now though, they're alone. Maybe not alone completely, as in they might have a partner that cheers them on, but alone in their head. The team they grew up with has moved on.
Man/RESET was devised by The Noledge House Director, Rob Libeau because the statement above comes from his mind. Rob is a certified PT and has seen those constant challenges and fitness aps come across his socials. They are short-term business models that aim to increase the bottom line of the operator. Yes, no doubt they have the good intentions of an individual's wellbeing, but what happens after the challenge or free trial? Man/Reset is a league with club culture. What you get in this league is free fitness advice, a training program if you want it, accountability and importantly, that team around you, that team we had, that team where we worked for each other.
The Noledge House is a registered charity that provides prevention-focused mental health programs and workshops free to access for all community. Whilst not compulsory, we ask that you support us with an annual fee of $50 for an individual or $250 for your team. This fee goes directly to The Noledge House to support other mental health priority areas. Yes, this club is fundraising for charity, but we all get the benefits!
