Session 1 - Brisbane Broncos Wellbeing and Education Manager.

Session 2 - Kozarov Criminal & Family Law - Kozarov v State of Victoria.
Zagi Kozarov is a highly respected legal professional dedicated to the provision of high-quality representation. In 2009, she took up a role at Victoria's Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP), where she was involved in prosecuting serious sex offences. In April 2022, the High Court restored a $435,000 damages payout to Ms. Kozarov for the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) she suffered as a result of working in the sex crimes unit for the OPP.
Session 3 - Vicarious Trauma and Burnout in Law.
A solicitor since 1989 and Hon. Senior Lecturer with the Australian National University, Dr James has a PhD in history, a Master of Science (Coaching Psychology), a Master of Philosophy (domestic violence), and several other qualifications in addition to law. His research areas include domestic violence, academic integrity, emotional intelligence, coaching psychology, professional development, well-being, and legal history.
Session 4 - Understanding Trauma.
Dr Angelo de Alwis is a forensic psychiatrist working for the Gold Coast Mental Health Service. Migrating to Australia in 2017 and obtaining a fellowship in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2019, Angelo is passionate about the interface between law and psychiatry with a special interest in the history of psychiatry who offers a fantastic insight into trauma-informed practices.
Session 5 - Trauma, Sexual Assault and the Justice System,
The Australian Law Reform Enquiry.
Dr George is a researcher at CQUniversity specialising in gender-based violence, court reform and trauma-informed legal practice. In 2023, Dr George was the Chief Investigator on a significant review, Specialist Approaches to Managing Sexual Assault Proceedings, which underpinned the recent Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) Inquiry into the Justice Responses to Sexual Violence.
Session 6 - Kelly Wilkinson Foundation (FDV/Homicide)
Danielle Carroll, sister of DV murder victim, Kelly Wilkinson, will share the destruction, terror they felt and aftermath of the trauma carried by a devistated family. Kelly's untimely passing left an indelible mark on the lives of so many people and inspired the creation of the foundation to take action in supporting other families who have been affected by domestic violence homicide and the trauma it causes.
Session 7 - Saul Holt, KC - Case Review and Trauma in the Courthouse.

Session 8 - Trauma-Informed Law Organisations and the With You Trauma Toolkit.
Jennifer currently manages the National Legal Aid With You Training Project. With You is a Trauma-Informed Organisational tool-kit, guiding trauma-informed service design. Jennifer is joined by Stephen Grace, Director of LawRight’s Community & Health Justice, Homelessness Law and Multicultural Law program.
